Gar tu sahaara bane, ya rabb sambhal jaaenge
We are fated to burn in the river of fire
But if you become our support, we can be saved
Tu hi to woh raushani hai ki jis se main ghaafil huwa
Jaane anjaane gunaahon se kuchh bhi nah haasil huwa
You are the light that I became blind to
By committing witting and unwitting sins, I gained nothing
Ho teri nazr-e-karam to yeh mushkil bhi tal jaayegi

If You cast Your merciful gaze towards me, this difficulty too shall pass

Roz-I hashr ka andaazah naheen
Bakhshish ka saamaan laaya naheen
Hai meri iltija, kar de qurbat ‘ata
Karde rahm o karam, miskeen hai tere dar pe khada
I haven’t the capacity to picture the Day of Resurrection
My deeds are not the kind to win Your favour and mercy
I plea that You grant me closeness to Yourself
Have mercy on this miserable beggar standing at Your door
Mere iraade jo ṭooṭe to mujh ko pata yeh chala
Teri hukoomat mein hoga wahi bas jo tune kaha
Apne habeeb ke sadqe sun le meri yeh dua
Tu hi muqeet ul-haseeb ul-jaleel
When all my grand schemes fell apart, I came to the realization
That You alone determine what happens in Your kingdom
For the sake of Your beloved Muhammad, please hear this humble prayer of mine
